What does the $1,793 package include?

Starter is a seven-page custom website package with mobile-first design, essential on-page SEO, a contact form, seven-day delivery, and 14 days of support after launch. It provides a defined starting scope for a business that needs to explain its services and receive enquiries.

A possible seven-page plan is Home, About, three service pages, Contact, and an FAQ page. That is an example, not a required structure. We confirm the page plan, available materials, and delivery schedule before work begins. Ask what content and approvals are needed for the seven-day schedule.

Essential on-page SEO is a foundation for search visibility. It is not an ongoing SEO campaign or a promise of rankings. Ongoing SEO and Google Ads management are separate services.

What changes the cost of a website?

The useful comparison is the work included in each quote. Two proposals with the same page count can involve very different amounts of work.

  • Page types and content: a service page, a searchable directory, and a product page have different requirements. Confirm who supplies or writes the copy.
  • Design and assets: photography, brand development, illustrations, and bespoke interactions need a clear scope.
  • Functionality: bookings, payments, memberships, and connections to other business systems require specific planning.
  • Migration: moving existing content, preserving important URLs, and planning redirects can be part of a redesign.
  • Review and support: compare revision allowances, training, launch checks, and the length and limits of support.

For example, a seven-page service website with an enquiry form has a different scope from a store with hundreds of products and inventory integration. Get the features written down before comparing the totals.

What costs can continue after launch?

A one-time build price does not, by itself, tell you every cost of operating a website. Ask for these items to be listed as included, optional, or separately billed:

  • Domain renewal: who registers the address, who controls it, and what renewal costs.
  • Hosting: the recurring charge and what backups, security, and support it covers.
  • Software and services: paid plugins, booking tools, email services, or other licences.
  • Maintenance and changes: updates, troubleshooting, new pages, and edits beyond the agreed support period.
  • Marketing: ongoing SEO, campaign management, and advertising spend.

Hooked’s published support periods are 14 days for Starter, 30 days for Pro, and 90 days for Premium. Ask us to itemize hosting, domain, maintenance, and any third-party requirements in your quote; this guide does not assume they are included or assign unconfirmed prices to them.

Questions to ask before accepting a quote

  1. Which pages, features, and mobile layouts are included?
  2. Who writes the content and supplies images?
  3. How many review rounds are included, and how are extra requests priced?
  4. Who owns the domain, website files, content, and accounts after payment?
  5. Will I receive administrator access, and can I move the site later?
  6. What is the total with applicable taxes, licences, and recurring charges?
  7. What must I supply before the delivery schedule starts?
  8. What support is included after launch, and what happens when it ends?

Ownership and access should be explicit in your agreement. Do not rely on an assumption about what “your website” means.

Start with what visitors need to learn and the action you want them to take. A focused service website may not need advanced features. A business publishing regular projects or articles may benefit from a larger content structure.
